Introduction
Hey there! My name is Daniel and I am a recent Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Biochemistry with a passion for teaching. I tutor biochemistry coursework, general chemistry coursework and all MCAT material. As tutor and teaching assistant, I learned to love the moments where a new concept "clicks". I strive to make connections with my students and truly understand their goals and motivations so I can best tailor my teaching. I believe connection builds curiosity.I spend my free time outside with friends, traveling to new places and at the pottery studio.

Tutoring Information
I meet with students virtually via Zoom or in person in Blacksburg, VA. Prior to each session, we'll have discussions about what material and topics are most helpful to go over, and I will spend time preparing specifically to target those needs. I will share my screen to show concept maps, personal example problems and notes I create during each sessions. If you're interested, you can set up your first 15 minute consultation session for free now by email! Afterwards, sessions will be $45/hr. I aim to work with students on a weekly schedule, but am flexible to other options. My preferred method of payment is via Venmo, but PayPal is fine too. Email me to discuss further!
Relevant Experience
I completed my degree with a GPA of 3.95. In my journey to attend medical school, I have studied for and taken the MCAT, obtaining a score of 519 (96th percentile).I have extensive teaching experience serving teaching assistant for four college-level science courses, including general chemistry (2 semesters), microbiology (2 semesters), genetics (1 semester) and the biochemistry capstone laboratory course (1 semester). For three years, I tutored college students through my role as a peer mentor in the biochemistry department in various coursework including biochemistry, general chemistry, physics and statistics and privately tutored students in AP coursework.
